Bearpaw's 1999 fall bear hunt was a complete success with 14 bear hunters harvesting 24 bears. This hunt appears to be a can't miss, due to the voracious appetite of the fall bruins. Our average of 160% was maintained. Quality was slightly better than average at 6'5" nose to tail. Two bears were harvested that exceeded 500 lbs. Dave Dyer and Dennis Ralph were the lucky hunters. Eight of the 24 bears harvested were of the color phase varieties.

Bearpaw's key to maintaining this kind of quality is continually hunting unhunted areas. Ryan Jones, our newest guide handled the new baits with the touch of a ten year veteran. Ryan's river bait will produce numerous giants for years to come.

All our rifle hunts are booked for the fall of 2000. We presently have 4 archery hunts available.
