BEARPAW WHITETAIL UPDATE 2007

Bearpaw 2007 Whitetail season was a good one.  40 Hunters harvested 36 Whitetails for another 90% success season.

After the superb season we had in 2006 our standards were very high.  There is no doubt that the winter of 2006 had a negative impact on the age class in our Whitetail herds.

Tremendous numbers of deer were seen by all our clients, lots of solid 2 and 3 year old bucks, not many 4 year olds.

We harvested 4 Bucks at the 170 mark, 16 at 160 or better and 16 between 145 and 158 for a B&C average of 156.

Harlan King, Doug Schultz, Jim Wueste, Josh Cox, John Paul, Brad Brubach, Roger Krantz, Ray Gonzales, Rafael Gutteriez, Dave Westrum, Jim Schuler, Pete Mowbray, Paul Gardner , John Georgeopolous, Matt Southard all took bucks 160 or better.

Bowen Dolhan had a superb season guiding 10 deer in 27 days.  Shawn Pinkett also had a great year bringing in 3 Whitetail over 160.  Nick Ouellette hunted hard and brought 5 bucks home.  Jamey Langlois effort provided our Mule Deer Hunters with multiple opportunities.
