BEARPAW TROPHY MULE DEER UPDATE 2011

Bearpaw's 2011 Mule Deer hunts were totally different this year than the previous past 4 years.

September was a very difficult hunt due to extremely tall crops and late harvest, though with determination and effort we still prevailed on some great deer.

Wayne Vince took our best buck of the season with guide Stuart Lorriman. A 216" non-typical that had it all with 23 points, 30" wide and great mass.

Taso Pantelidas took a great buck with Theron Saroka. Phillip Eberly got a mid 180's awesome buck with Cody Archibald. And Ray Drabicki Sr. took a solid 180" with Justin Redlick.

Our November season was very good even though they were late rutting.

Tom Davis got a great buck that would have netted book had it been 2" longer on the main beams.

Sheila and Keith had a good November mule deer hunt with Mike Kehoe, taking a 190" and Cliff Davis harvesting a 180".

Mule Deer are making a comeback. An excellent November and easy December should bring our mule deer one more step closer to the 5 year old age class.
