Bearpaw's 2003 Elk hunt produced 3 Bulls for 5 hunters definitely not one of our best seasons. The rut appeared to be later than normal with the majority of the bugling taking place after our clients had completed their hunts.

Brian Carmines passed on 7 legal bulls trying to harvest a 300 point bull, but it was not to be. Earl Hess ended his 3 year quest for an elk with Jamie Langlois on a nice 6x5 called into 50 yards.

Jim Bailey made his first trip with Bearpaw a good hunt, he took a Mule Deer, Moose and an Elk in 48 hours. Not bad for work thanks to the excellent guiding by Kevin Congdon.
