Bearpaw 2007 Spring Bear Season was a complete success 32 Hunters harvested 60 Bears for one of our best success rates at 185%.

Colored Bear numbers returned to 30%. Bear sightings remained steady with 8 being the average, from a low of 3 to high of 47 in 6 days of hunting.

Missed opportunities continued to plague some of our Bow hunters, 4 tags were lost to misplaced shots.

Quality was exceptional!

Highlights in 2007

21 bears exceeded 6'8 square, 8 over 7' foot square and one bona fide 8' harvested by Ken Adams.

Our largest skull was 20 5/8 with 13 over Pope and Young and SCI minimums.
Ken Faith reached a milestone of 50 bears of which 38 have been harvested with Bearpaw.

Bill Catron, Denny McClure, Ken Adams, Bruce Robel, Gary Bobbet, and Paul Delaney all joined the seven foot club on their hunts.

OUTLOOK FOR 2008

We are at present 50% booked for 2008 Spring Bear. The season dates are set and we have openings in all weeks.
