BLACK BEAR Update for 2011

Our Black Bear population is the highest it has been in recent history.  Multiple bear sightings are the norm and expectations of bears in excess of 6 foot are very realistic. 

We maintained a 6’3” average in 2011 with 17 bears taken with skulls over 18” and four over 20”. Seven bears were taken in excess of 7 foot.  One 8 foot. Colored bear numbers are consistently 30% of our annual harvest. 

We will be limiting to 6 hunters per week to allow quality selection on our hunts. 

We have maintained our price for 2012 at $4200.00 complete cost for two bears for 6 days of hunting.
